Consent and Objection
The CID will only be established if at least 60% of impacted ratepayers consent to it. Follow the process below to submit your consent or objection.
How to submit your consent or objection
- Download and complete the consent and objection form.
- Attach the necessary supporting documentation, such as proxy forms or proof of ownership.
- Email your completed form and supporting documentation to voting@vredehoekcid.co.za.
We can also collect your forms from you, if you would prefer. Please email us at info@vredehoekcid.co.za and we will arrange collection.
Required supporting documentation
For a natural person
- If you are the registered owner of the property, no further supporting documentation is required.
- If the property is not in the individual's name, proof of ownership must be provided. This could include, for example, a letter from an attorney confirming that the transfer is in process, or updated ownership documentation.
- If you are unsure of whose name your property is in, please email info@vredehoekcid.co.za and we can assist.
For a juristic person (a property owned by a trust, Pty (Ltd), CC etc).
- If the property is registered in the name of the entity, no additional documentation is required.
- If the property is not registered in the entity's name, supporting documentation/proof of the entity's interest or ownership must be provided.
- If you are unsure of whose name your property is in, please email info@vredehoekcid.co.za and we can assist.
Person acting on behalf of the owner
- Where someone is providing consent or an objection on behalf of the registered owner, a letter of authorisation/proxy must be provided. Example proxy forms are provided below.
- Where the property is owned by a Trust, the appropriate supporting documentation must be provided in accordance with the Trust Property Control Act.

What if I have more than 3 properties?
If the space in the form is not sufficient, please add an attachment indicating the erf and details of the additional properties.
